Artificial Intelligence + Genuine Imagination

Sarah here — welcome to my website! I’m based in the Pacific Northwest, arguably the most beautiful and delightful corner of the U.S. My educational/professional background is in creative writing — nonprofit, lifestyle, small business, you name it. This foray into AI art is scratching an itch my imagination has had for a long time.

All the images you see here and on my social media profiles were created by me using tools like Midjourney. A few words to describe the vibe in this space: fantasy, wonder, curiosity, exploration and imagination. The setting for most, if not all, of my work is my imaginary PNW-inspired planet Cascadia Prime. My popular mushroom creatures dwell in Uncanny Valley on that whimsical planet.

It’s important that you know I have tremendous respect for traditional artists. I personally enjoy drawing, painting, collage, and loom-weaving as creative outlets. I am an art collector. There is no comparison or competition between AI art and traditional art. In terms of process, they have as much in common as cooking and kickboxing. But that doesn't mean all AI work is unworthy of appreciation.

I strongly believe that AI art can be beautiful or thought-provoking or emotion-stirring. My images and animations take time, patience, and - yes - creativity. I hope you enjoy my art while also seeking out beauty, inspiration and meaning in all of its many forms.
